There would have been fewer rocks thrown, but a British TV show bringing foreign armed soldiers/contractors into an area still tense after the Falklands War would have resulted in a much larger international incident. Like "category 3 shitstorm" levels of international incident.

A US consulate attaché was attacked with axes on Friday in the West Bank by Israeli settlers. I'm sure they had pretty legit PMC protection. There's no stopping crazy people with too much time on their hands.
